When do you think Dems will announce their campaigns for 2020 because I remember Hillary did it very early in 2015

usually it’s around the same time each year, so probably around april-june 2019

that'll be a n for me dog. Kellogg's and key plus kanye west will be the political flavour of the month, but Kirsten Godibrand will live on forever during her 8 years + many years of political activism afterwards.

oh you definitely right!

Colbert made a Kelly Anne Kanye joke today and it made me think of you

should i bring the url back?! y/n?

How much money says there is going to be a #RepublicanMeltdown over GodCaskill winning reelection again?

hawley just hired former RNC finance director & senior tr*mp WH aide katie walsh to run his finance team… so you know he’s scared. also with the whole eric greitens shitshow you know hawley is trying to distance himself as far as possible before the GOP in MO self implodes

but i have confidence in claire godcaskill — she’ll win & it’ll be glorious.

What can you do with a JD without practicing?

any sector you want, the skills you learn from law school will help with any career. also most jobs will end up paying more just because of having the JD. i really want to go into reproductive law, but on the advocacy/electoral side.

hey! I just accepted a place at Emory Law for this fall which Iโ€™m super excited about bc law school is literally a dream come true. I know I want to do public interest, probs in government/NGO work focused on foreign relations/peace and conflict/human rights. so I wanted to ask how your law experience has been for someone whoโ€™s come from a PI/political background. do you feel a lot of pressure to go into biglaw? what options do you see for yourself/classmates for doing work other than biglaw?

yeah, i feel pressure all the time to go into corporate law. one of my favorite and closest supervisors (from HFA actually) got her JD from georgetown too and didn’t end up practicing. which is something i am seriously considering as well since she absolutely loved what doors having a JD opened without actually being a lawyer.

Is there anyway to volunteer for a politician online? I'm going to be studying abroad next semester but I still want to participate

you might be able to do virtual phone banking (though depending on your phone call when you’re abroad, it might charge international fees) or if the campaign has a text out the vote program you can sign up with the hustle app to text voters. also if you’re interested in working digital, most digital responsibilities for campaigns can be done remotely. it will just need to be something you will have to directly as the campaign about.
