hawley just hired former RNC finance director & senior tr*mp WH aide katie walsh to run his finance team… so you know he’s scared. also with the whole eric greitens shitshow you know hawley is trying to distance himself as far as possible before the GOP in MO self implodes
but i have confidence in claire godcaskill — she’ll win & it’ll be glorious.
any sector you want, the skills you learn from law school will help with any career. also most jobs will end up paying more just because of having the JD. i really want to go into reproductive law, but on the advocacy/electoral side.
yeah, i feel pressure all the time to go into corporate law. one of my favorite and closest supervisors (from HFA actually) got her JD from georgetown too and didn’t end up practicing. which is something i am seriously considering as well since she absolutely loved what doors having a JD opened without actually being a lawyer.
you might be able to do virtual phone banking (though depending on your phone call when you’re abroad, it might charge international fees) or if the campaign has a text out the vote program you can sign up with the hustle app to text voters. also if you’re interested in working digital, most digital responsibilities for campaigns can be done remotely. it will just need to be something you will have to directly as the campaign about.
